Allowing feedback until the final stage of a performance review helps ensure evaluations are as complete, fair, and up to date as possible. It gives all contributors enough time to share relevant insights, captures recent performance, and supports more balanced decision-making. This approach also promotes transparency and inclusivity by ensuring every perspective has the opportunity to be considered before reviews are finalized.
For that reason, when a performance review is launched in Nailted, the deadline for providing feedback is clearly communicated and consistently displayed across all notifications sent by the platform. This ensures that participants are always aware of the timeline and can plan accordingly. In addition, the platform offers flexibility by allowing users to submit feedback at any point prior to the start of the manager’s calibration phase, encouraging timely and thoughtful input.
Once the calibration process begins, however, the system enforces a strict cutoff. At this stage, participants attempting to submit feedback will be notified that the submission window has closed and no further input can be accepted.
Can a review be modified during the calibration phase?
Yes. Administrators have the ability to grant exceptions and allow a specific user to modify a review when necessary.
This functionality is particularly useful in exceptional cases where new or critical information becomes available after the feedback window has closed. For example, if a significant event or performance-related incident occurs close to the calibration phase, administrators can reopen a participant’s review.
To allow a participant to modify their review, follow the steps below:
- Go to your Performance section and select the performance review campaign.
- Find the name of the person about whom feedback is being given and click on the arrow that appears next to their name. The list of people providing feedback will be displayed.
- Click on the three dots icon next to the name of the review you would like to reopen and click on the Permission to edit review button.
- Add the message that you would like to send to the reviewer and click on Enable edition to finalize the process.
The person will receive a notification informing them that they can now perform the necessary changes on the review.
💡Once the new information is added, the manager will receive a notification to revise the calibration in case that any modification needs to be performed.
