By segmenting the metrics information by groups that have similarities it is possible to gain a deeper understanding of employee dynamics, enhance engagement, and identify specific issues within different teams or departments. Through the usage of this approach tailored interventions can be made and it promotes inclusivity and equity by ensuring all groups’ voices are heard, and supports better decision-making. At the same time, it also facilitates clear communication, builds trust and in short leads to a better understanding of employee’s experiences that lead to executing effective strategies.
What are the different group types?
Groups allow you to segment the information to discover hidden patterns and Nailted offers two different group types:
- Public groups: This group type will be visible by all the administrators that have been granted with visibility permissions, departments or team groups are regularly grouped under this group type.
💡 Public groups can only be modified by the person who create it or by a Super Administrator.
- Private groups: This group type will only be visible by the person who creates it, being also private for Super Administrators. This group type is usually used in those cases in which an administrator wants to visualize sensitive information or if a further analysis over the information about a group wants to be done.
How can I set up group permissions to Administrators?
When adding a new administrator, you can decide the level of group creation permissions following the steps described below:
- Go to your ⚙️Settings section. Next, select the Admin users tab.
- Click on the Create new user button if you need to create the new administrator (see a step by step here) or select the user to whom you would like to modify their group creation permissions.
- Select the Permissions tab and decide the type of groups that the administrator will be able to create from the options available:
-
- Admin (full access): The user will have permissions to access all the Nailted modules and the creation of public and private groups.
- HR Business Partner (Standard access): The user will have permission to access all Nailted modules, but the group's creation is limited to private.
- Manager: The user will have limited permissions over Nailted modules and will only be able to create private groups.
- Custom: This option allows you to provide more customized permissions to a person, being able to choose if this user can create both private and public groups or only private groups.
- Finally, click on the Save changes button to save your changes.
💡 These permissions can be changed at any time if required by an administrator with full access permissions or a Super Administrator.
