Group categories refer to the different ways individuals or entities can be classified into groups based on shared characteristics, interests, or criteria. These categories help organize and manage groups effectively.
Where can I apply group categories?
Group categories are a fast and easy way to filter and display information from groups that have similarities. Categories can be applied and used in:
1 Usage on Metrics & eNPS
Categories are especially useful in your metrics section to compare groups that are similar without having to select each group individually. Simply select the category from the dropdown list, and all groups that contain that category will be displayed automatically. Categories can be used in the following Nailted sections:
- Group list: This section provides an overview of the group size, eNPS, metrics, 1:1 meetings engagement, and participation percentage. This section is very useful for having a general summary of the most relevant information of each group.
- Group comparison: This section allows you to compare all Nailted metrics (including eNPS) among groups with similarities to discover hidden patterns and trends, enhancing your decision-making process. Besides comparing different group categories, the system allows you to create intersections between groups, enabling a deeper analysis of your metrics. You can analyze information at the department level and filter by age groups of members, their country of residence, or their tenure within the organization.
💡 This feature is only available in some plans.
2 Usage on Messages
Each message in your inbox within the messages section includes information regarding the groups in which the sender is included. This information helps you understand which part of the organization the feedback comes from.
💡 Nailted will never show any group that violates the strict rules applied for keeping users anonymous. Some messages may appear without any group associated.
Categories play an important role in the groups that the system will always display. There are two types of categories:
- Organizational: This category describes groups that form the hierarchical structure of the organization and are usually defined within the organizational chart.
- Transversal: This category describes groups with certain characteristics in common, although the individuals in these groups have different roles in the hierarchical structure of the organization.
When the system evaluates all the groups in which a person is gathered and determines which ones to display in the messages section, the organizational ones will always be selected first, as they provide the most valuable information.
💡 We recommend reviewing the category applied to all custom categories created.
