Depending on your organization structure, there will be different people that may need to have administrator permissions: People department, managers, company board, etc.
For this reason Nailted allows you to set different types of permissions and visibility over the organization depending on the necessities of each person. For example, managers regularly only have visibility over their direct reports because of the following reasons:

They can detect problems in their teams through the monitoring of the team mood.

They will understand better the necessity of their teams by consulting the metrics.

They will help People department to understand better if dynamics put in place are having any effect over their teams.
How to add and set up groups visibility and premissions for a new admin
To add and set up a new administrator, follow the steps below:
- Go to your ⚙️Settings section and click on Settings. Next, select the Admin users tab.
- Click on the Create new user button where you will be required to add the new administrator name, surname, email address and the language in which this person will be using the platform.
💡The new administrator will be created at this point, but not invited to the platform till you finish up setting up their groups visibility access.
- You will be redirected to a new page to set up information visibility access. There are two types of information visibility access:
- Full access: The user will have full visibility over the information of all the people within the organization.
- Limited access: The user will only have visibility over the groups of people that are selected using the Groups visibility dropdown.
- On occasions you may not want that an administrator can filter by all the groups he has visibility over, so you can also set up which groups are filtrable using the dropdown that appears under Groups filter.
- Next, decide the type of role that you would like to apply to the user. Nailted has 2 roles (admin and manager) with predefined permissions which are the ones usually selected by companies. If you need to have different permissions to the predefined for admins and managers, select the customized option. Bellow each one of the roles and permissions attached to it are explained:
- Admin (Full access): The user will have permissions to access all the Nailted modules and the creation of public and private groups.
- HR Business Partner (Standard access): The user will have permission to access all Nailted modules, but the group's creation is limited to private.
- Manager: The user will have limited permissions over the following Nailted modules, being able to access the following information:
- Custom polls: Visibility over their teams custom polls
- Messages: The user will be able to see and reply to their team's messages.
⚠️ Nailted has some questions regarding managers, so have into account the maturity of the person over provided feedback before allowing this access.

- Reviews & Check-ins: the user will be able to see and launch reviews & checking to their teams.
- 1:1 meetings: The user will be able to see their team 1:1 meetings and create 1:1 templates.
⚠️ The 1:1 templates created will be visible by all the administrators of the organization

- Turnover rate: The user won’t have visibility over their teams turnover rate information.
- Create groups: The user will be able to only create private groups.
- Custom: This option allows you to provide a more customized permission to a person, being able to choose among the following possibilities:
- Custom Polls: You can provide the following permissions:
- No access
- See custom Polls: The user will be able to see their team’s custom polls.
- See and launch custom polls: The user will be able to see and launch new custom polls to their team.
- Messages: You can provide the following permissions:
- No access
- See messages: The user will be able to see and reply to their team’s feedback messages.
- Reviews & Check-ins: You can choose among the following options:
- No access
- See reviews & check-ins: The user will be able to see their teams reviews & check-ins.
- See and launch reviews & check-ins: The user will be able to see and launch new reviews & check-ins to their team.
- 1:1 meetings: The options available are the following:
- No access
- See 1:1 meetings: The user will be able to perform 1:1 meetings through Nailted with their team.
- See and create 1:1 templates: The user will be able to perform 1:1 meetings with their team and create new 1:1 meeting templates.
- Custom Polls: You can provide the following permissions:
⚠️ The 1:1 templates created will be visible by all the administrators of the organization

- Turnover rate: You can provide the following permissions:
- No access
- See turnover rate: The user will be able to see the turnover information from their teams.
- Create groups: The user will be able to:
- Only create private groups
- Create public and private groups.
- Turnover rate: You can provide the following permissions:
5. Finally, click on the Invite button to invite the new administrator that will receive a notification to the added email address with the instructions to join Nailted as an administrator.
Can administrator visibility access be changed?
Yes, administrators groups visibility access can be changed at any time by following the next steps:
- Go to your ⚙️Settings section and click on Settings. Next, select the Admin users tab and select the administrator you would like to change permissions.
- You will be able to change visibility clicking on the Groups visibility tab:
- Change from Full access to Limited access: Click on the Limited access button where two options will appear:
- Group visibility: Select the groups that this administrator will be able to see information from.
- Group filter: On occasions you may not want that an administrator can filter by all the groups he has visibility over, so you can also set up which groups are filtrable using the dropdown.
- Change from Limited access to Full access: Click on the Full access button to provide visibility over all the people with the organization. A confirmation message will appear for you to confirm the action, click on the Confirm button and this administrator will immediately have full visibility over the organization.
- Change from Full access to Limited access: Click on the Limited access button where two options will appear:
- Click on the Save changes button once you have performed all your changes.
Can I change permissions to an administrator?
You can change permissions to an administrator at any time following the next steps:
- Go to your ⚙️Settings section and click on Settings. Next, select the Admin users tab and select the administrator you would like to change permissions.
- Click on the Permissions tab to provide or restringe the user permissions:

- Change from Admin (Full access) to Manager permissions: Click on the Manager button and the user will now only be able to see their team custom polls, messages, reviews and 1:1 meetings. Click on the Save changes button to change the user permissions.
💡Administrators with Limited access in the visibility group will only see the information contained in any of these modules related with the people within their visible groups.

- Change from Manager to Customised permissions: Click on the Customised button and select the permissions that you wish to provide to this user from the availables for custom polls, messages, reviews & check-ins and 1:1 meetings. Click on the Save changes button to change the user permissions.
- Change from manager/customised permissions to Admin (Full access)/HR Business (Standard access): Click on the Admin (Full access) button/HR Business (Standard access) and the user will have permissions to access all the Nailted modules. Click on the Save changes button to change the user permissions.
