1 What are the benefits of the Personio integration?
The Personio integration allows you to manage your employees’ status in Nailted without effort:
We do a Personio synchronization to Nailted every 24 hours to retrieve the following information:
- When you add new people to Personio they are automatically transferred to Nailted on the date set for their first day of work.
- Modifying or removing a person from Personio also automatically modifies or removes them from Nailted.
- If you assign, remove or change someone’s manager, that change will automatically be reflected in Nailted.
2 How to connect Personio
To set up your Personio integration with Nailted, please follow up the steps below:
- Go to your Team section and click on the Add People button. Next, select the Configure new integration button that will redirect you to a new page containing all the available integrations.
- Next, login to Personio and direct yourself to the Settings section. Next, click on Integrations and select API credentials.
- Click on the Generate new credential button that appears on the top right of the screen.
- The Add new credential sidebar will appear. In the Name field, enter a meaningful name (for example, 'Nailted integration') for the credentials.
Note: If applicable, select the relevant integration from the Integration drop-down menu. If not, select Other.
- Use the checkboxes to define the desired access levels. If you have selected an integration, the recommended access levels will be preselected.
- Finally, to generate the API credentials (client ID and secret), click Generate new credential. A message will display confirming that the credentials have been created.
- Employees: Select Read to allow third-party systems to pull employee data from Personio to allow them to create and update data in Personio.
- Go back to Nailted and add the Client ID and the Secret information from the API into the Personio section.
- Finally, click on the Connect Personio button. Once it is connected, the last step would be to click on the Use this connection for synchronization button to activate the synchronization.
⚠️The email address stored on Personio and Nailted for a person needs to be the same one in order the integration to work correctly.
From this moment onwards, the synchronization with Personio will be done every 24 hours, although it can also be done manually if needed.
3 Can I preview what information will be added into Nailted?
Yes, once you have connected Personio to Nailted, you will be able to have a preview of all the employees and information that will be uploaded into the system. To do this, follow the next steps:
- Go to your Team section and click on the Add People button. Next, select the option Import from Personio.
- A new window will appear informing you that we will proceed to import in draft all the new employees detected in Personio. Click on the Import new employees button.
- The import process can take a few minutes to complete. Once finished, click on the See employees button to see all the employees detected from the system.
💡The new employees will be on draft mode, so they won’t be receiving any notification until you manually activate them.
4 Can I prevent certain users from being synchronized?
Yes, in those cases in which you have certain people that do not need to be synchronized every 24 hours, you can add them to a denylist.
💡To create a denylist, it is necessary to have activated Personio integration first.
To activate a denylist follow the steps below:
- Go to your ⚙️ Settings section. Next, click on Integrations.
- Select the option of Configure the denylist that will appear under your active synchronization.
- Finally, select the emails from Nailted that you do not want to synchronize and click on the Save button to save your changes.
💡You can also bulk email addresses by spacing them by commas (,)
⚠️ Adding a person to the denylist list, doesn't mean that their profile is disabled in Nailted. You will need to do this process manually in Nailted.
