Holding recurrent 1:1 meetings within the organization facilitate effective communication, support employee development, and contribute to the creation of a positive work environment that ultimately benefits both the employee and the organization as a whole.
The recurrent 1:1 meetings will provide the following benefits:
- Will help to build trust between the participants and an environment that encourages collaboration and communication.
- Establish a feedback culture where managers can offer constructive feedback on employee’s performance, while employees can share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions with their managers.
- Alignment between individual goals with organizational objectives highlighting how individual goals contribute to the overall team or company goals.
- Career development can be discussed allowing managers to provide mentorship, coaching and opportunities for growth.
- Issues or challenges that may arise can be addressed promptly in 1:1 meetings preventing any conflict to escalate.
- Regular check-ins enable managers to track employee progress and performance more efficiently.
- Improvement of employee engagement and satisfaction as they feel heard and valued by their managers as they are prioritizing employee’s well-being and development, which can boost morale and motivation.
How can I create a 1:1 meeting series?
1:1 meetings series can be created by managers at any time to have recurrent touch points with their team. To create a new 1:1 meeting series, follow the steps described below:
- Go to your personal profile in my.nailted and click on the 1:1 meeting section that appears on the left hand side of your screen.
- Next, click on the Add new 1:1 series button and a new window will appear to set up the new 1:1 series.
- Select the name of the person you would like to have the 1:1 meeting with.
💡1:1 meetings can be set up with any person within the organization, not only your team.
- Add the date and time in which the meeting will take place and its duration among the possible options: 15 min, 30, min, 45 min or 60 min.
💡Nailted recommends that the meeting lasts between 30 -45 minutes, to have enough time to discuss all the topics required.
- Choose the frequency of the meeting from the different options that appear on the dropdown under the I want to repeat it section being the options available:

- Weekly
- Every two weeks
- Every three weeks
- Monthly
- Every two months
- Every three months
- Every six months

- Choose if you want to create the 1:1 series from scratch or use one of the templates availables at your organization that already contains an established number of points to review during the 1:1 meeting.

- Finally, click on the Create 1:1 series button and your 1:1 meeting will be created. You can now add new talking points into the meeting agenda, although you can do this at any time.
The system will automatically inform the team member of their scheduled 1:1 meeting and from the notification they will be able to access the 1:1 meeting agenda and add their own talking points. Moreover, the manager or the team member will be able to comment on those talking points added to the agenda.

You will be able to review the information of the next 1:1 meeting series from your 1:1 meeting section. The system will send both parties a notification two days before the set date for the 1:1 meeting to add/review the points added to the agenda. A second notification will be sent the same day of the meeting to make sure that you are aware of all the topics that will be discussed.
